1. Oregon Institute of Technology

The Oregon Institute of Technology began as the Oregon Vocational School on July 14, 1947. Its purpose was to teach and retrain veterans who had returned from World War II. Winston Purvine started the first classes in a hospital that was no longer being used by the Marine Corps. The hospital is three miles away from Klamath Falls in the northeast direction.

The Oregon Institute of Technology has lots of different classes you can take. They have more than
32 degrees you can earn in things like engineering, health, management, communication, psychology, and other applied sciences. They offer a total of 37 different areas of study. Oregon Tech was the first school in America to have an undergraduate program in renewable energy engineering. 2. Portland State University

Portland State University is a school in Oregon where students can study and research different subjects. It is open to everyone. The school started in June 1946 and was called the Vanport Extension Center. A man named Stephen Edward Epler, who came from Iowa, was the one who made it. It was a school for people who had been in World War II. The school became a college and started giving
out degrees in 1969.

Portland State University has seven colleges where you can study. You can choose from 123 different subjects for your undergraduate degree and 117 for your postgraduate degree.

3. Oregon State University

Oregon State University is the main public research university in Oregon. There are 11 different colleges in the school, and they are located in two different places. The school has more than 200 classes taught by really good teachers who want every student to do well. Oregon State is one of just two universities in the U. S To give names to areas of land, sea, space, and the sun. It is a school in Oregon that is part of WUE.

4. Eastern Oregon University

Eastern Oregon University is a school in La Grande, Oregon that students attend for four years. It’s a public university. Eastern Oregon University started as a school for training teachers called Eastern Oregon Normal School in 1929.

Southern Oregon University is a school that is open to the public and it is in Ashland, Oregon. In 1872, the Methodist Episcopal Church of Ashland started a school called Ashland Academy.

Western Oregon University is a government-funded school in Monmouth, Oregon where students can study for four years. The school started in 1856 and was called Monmouth University.
