Scholarship Amount for Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree Scholarships
- €1,000 per month stipend. This stipend is fixed no matter which country the students choose/get to study. The student also does not get an extra amount for his or her family.
- €3,000 annual traveling allowance. Apart from the monthly stipend, Erasmus+ also provides a yearly allowance for their student.
Eligibility Criteria for Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree Scholarships
Since you are applying for a Masters’s Degree, you must have a bachelor’s degree first. If you already have a Masters’s Degree, it will be considered a plus in your application. The primary qualification for the scholarship program is to have two letters of recommendation, either from the applicant’s professors or from the applicant’s supervisor if the applicant is currently working.
The applicant’s Curriculum Vitae should also include a list of extracurricular activities and voluntary works. Experience with the scholarship degree is not mandated, but it will be considered as good credit to be chosen for Erasmus Mundus scholarships. If you do not have one yet, do not give up as you can still there are still factors that could get you to this scholarship program.
Some fresh graduates also get this scholarship over the nearly 30 years of Erasmus+ operations. Academic Excellence is also a big part of the scholarship program to be chosen as of the scholars of Erasmus+. You should also be residing in a qualified countries.
Qualified countries are grouped into two, the Partners countries and Programme countries. While Programme countries are allowed for all Erasmus+ activities, Partner countries can only participate in some activities and are subject to different scenarios.
How do I apply to Erasmus MundusvScholarships?
Relevancy is very important when applying to Erasmus Mundus scholarship programs. Erasmus+ offers various Master’s degree scholarship programs. The applicant just needs to select the master’s program that is relevant to his bachelor’s degree.

Apply to the website. Each master’s degree scholarship program of Erasmus+ has its website. After choosing what master’s degree you would want to apply for, simply go to their website and look for the “Apply” button.
From there, you would have to provide your information by completing the application form. They would need it to get to know and assess you if you are qualified or not for the program.
Recommendation from your University. For you to be granted with Erasmus Scholarship, an Inter-institutional agreement between your receiving institution and the university is mandatory. You should secure a letter of motivation from your University in order to continue with your application.
Pay for the Application fee. Each Erasmus Mundus scholarship program has their specific application fee rate. You need to pay for it so that your application would proceed on their database. Submit the following:
Proof of Necessary English Skills. Europe has many languages since it is a continent that has 44 countries. That is why people use English as their language to communicate with neighboring countries. All programs in the Erasmus Mundus Scholarships are taught in the English language.
For the non-native speaker, they would have to provide Proof of Necessary English Skills like Cambridge C1 Advanced/ C2 Proficiency Certificate, International English Language Testing System or IELTS of at least 7.0 result or Test of English as a Foreign Language or TOEFL with a minimum of 600 (paper), 250 (computer) or 100 points (internet).
Letter of Motivation is the most important part of the Erasmus Mundus scholarship. Some programs even have a 40% weightage for the letter of motivation.
Passport or official Identification Card copy. A passport is essential for you to travel abroad. This also serves as the basis for Erasmus+ to know your travel and derogatory records.
Application Form. The application form can be accessed on their website. Simply visit the website of your chosen master’s program and look for the Application Form.
Curriculum Vitae. To assess your personal information, your Curriculum Vitae needs to be factual and informative. You would need to provide supporting documents to attest to your submitted CV.
Two Letters of Recommendation. It should include an introduction, a list of specific reasons why you are recommended to have this scholarship program, a closing statement, contact information, and signature.
