- As can be seen, a score of 500 falls into the 45th percentile. If a candidate receives a score of 500 or higher, they are in the top 45 percent of all test takers.
Students with an 80th percentile or higher may be accepted by average medical schools, and students with a 95th percentile or higher may be required by Ivy League schools.Some schools accept old and new scores, while some accept just new scores. - For admissions to medical schools, MCAT is only one of the factors.
